I am building an ionic foot bath using pure Titanium
electrodes. These are sized as follows; 1/2
inch wide,
9 1/2
inches long and .050
inch thick.
The two electrodes stradle a 1/2 " diameter pvc plastic
pipe. The pos and neg battery charge leads are then attached
to the electrodes.
The water in a large tub has 1 tsp of
Sea Salt in solution.
The electrodes are submerged in the water.
The battery charger is 2 - 8 amps at 12 V.
The problem is when leads are connected no current registers on the charger and no current is flowing.
Question: Is the current too high? Should I use a 500
milliamp charger? Is the 1/2
inch separation too much?
The electrodes have an oxidized patina. Could this be impeding current flow?
Also, some ionizers use a wrist band attached to the ground of the ionizer, some ionizers do not use wrist straps.
Are these necessary?
Thanks
