While I do not claim to be a biblical expert, I am not exactly a novice either. There are plenty of examples in the Bible where we are to judge. Jesus essentially said to remove the beam that is in our own eye first so we can see clearly enough to remove the mote that is in our brother's eye. He said not to judge with a beam in our own eye. ("Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. " Matthew 7:5 KJV)
People love to leave the remainder of that passage off in Matthew. That way they can silence people with whom they do not agree by simply telling them that the Bible says we are not to judge. ("Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?" Matthew 7:1-4 KJV) In this passage he was talking to hypocrites blinded by beams in their eyes trying to judge others. Matthew 7:5 clearly states we are to judge once we can see clearly enough to do so. We must examine ourselves first and make sure we have nothing in our own eyes that are blinding us. We must not judge hypocritically.
The Bible is not telling us never to judge. That is taking scripture out of context. We do need to judge, examine and warn. We have no right to judge another man's heart because only God can see into the heart. In that respect only God is our true judge. I'm sure you have heard the saying that the devil mixes 99% truth in with 1% lies as a method to deceive. There is a lot of truth in this. It is that small percent that is deadly and that is all he needs to do his job of destruction. The exact percentage of truth in what he does may not be known, but I do know that he is using a large percent of truth in order to deceive people. This is a very obvious tactic that he uses as a method of his deception. When I can clearly see that someone is messing with demons I am going to run in the other direction. I choose not to play with him. I can get my truth elsewhere, lest I too become a victim. I do not call that large percentage of truth that he uses fruit. It is not fruit. It is his method of deception. His fruit is deception which is bad fruit. A lot of the truth if not all of the truth used by the occult is, I believe, stolen anyway from another source. I would never seek truth from the occult. We just cannot trust it. Thanks again for your thoughts and I hope you do not mind mine.
