I know all of you have been chating on this for ages and I am no expert. I am new on here. But my husband and I Never had this great weight loss. That I am sure is so hurtful for all of your health.
We included chia seeds in our diets and a few other things you may be interested in.
We like to stay as close to natural foods as we can for nutritional needs. The reason being that I know they give good vitamins.. but have you ever looked at a chart of the nutrional values in a single piece of veg?? There is no way they put all of those in a single capsul. I know that foods do not have the nutritional values they did in the 1940's... however, their are other things to add that are still high in vitamin count. Also, we raise our own garden.. tho' small it may be. We live in the mountains Where the air is cleaner. So, the different things we can grow are mainly cool veg's. We have a short growing season.
Life Extension has a good vitamin however, if you want a pill. A friend of ours takes these and he is now 100 years young. Just drove to Candada with his wife of 80 years.. spent 3 months and drove back. He looks like he is in his young 80's. We took them for a number of years till I decided to go natural.
I want to tell you that my husband has COPD sense 1984 and only has 30% of his lungs left. He is 67 Years old..( they had him on 4 different kinds of inhalers and a smoker. I got him to use a Himalayan inhaler and we got rid of all but 1 inhaler ) So his immunity to colds and ect is very low. Even so, the doctors are amazed that he is not on oxygen and in such good health. They say he should be on oxygen or in a wheel chair or dead. He is a veteran and they said, that the problems with his brain was from PTSD from V.N. Well, they were not. They were from Candida and we have proved it. They do not except it however. Sucidal, and Dementia big time. He was on 18 pills a day for
Depression and to help him sleep. He is now down to 5 to help him sleep.
We talked about when he must have first got Candida. We figure it was when he was a child and had to have 3 operations. And then later another operation. And of course he was on all kinds of anti bacteria meds for colds and ect Even landing in the hospital And if you read my other post you will see that nutritional eating was a high on our priority. I was raised that way. However, we feel that nutritional highs were the one of the reasons we beat Candida. And why it took so long to rear its ugly head and become such a problem. Another reason may be that I always used a lot of spices when I cooked.
But we did not have this great weight loss that everyone is talking about. But we eat low
Sugar veg's like horses and I do mean a lot. We eat a good 3 cups for him and 2 cups for me. Thats guessing. but the whole side of a really large plate. We use a corella serving plate. We make a mixture of veg's. And meats of course.. we could not afford to get them from the health food store. So just get them from Costco's. And we do so enjoy meat !! more Colories.
Chia is something we have used for years.. before that was flax seeds.. but we like the taste and ease of taking the chia seeds. they are like using sesame seeds which we also use. And he eats nuts like a large squirrel. LOL! We buy at least 10 bags a month from Costco's. No this is not cheep. But, He was so hungry for them.. and they were helping to keep him healthy, my goal. He is 100 % disabled. And That was with out them considering him to have Candida.

oz of chia there are 130 Calories and they are good calories and 15 g of Carbohydrates. We lost weight at first but, we needed to lose while eating this diet.. but it stabalized once we got to a good weight for our bodies. Just like they said, while following the candida diet.
Maybe if you added chia to your diet it would help. If you have problems with seeds, you can grind them up by adding them into almond butter and blending the heck out of them. And the Chia seeds are just cramed with nutritional value.

And Chlorella.. it is a complete food. It is a algea and we contantly use it too. Kelp is another one. We also take shark oil, Cod liver oil, vitamin E ... and we make sure we eat 2-3 tablespoons of good essential oils a day.. a mixture of sesame oil ( has anti bacterial properties ) and grapeseed oil for cooking and making mayo. Even the butter I take one lb of butter soften it and add 1 cup of that mixed oil. Now just the oil has got to have some sort of calorie count. I do not know. I really have never counted calories. ( The only type of diet I ever went on was years ago when I was young and it was the carbohydrate diet. so I counted Carbs )
I am sure all of these add some sort of calorie. However good calories. And of course Colostrum that kills candida. All of these are high nutrition foods. Building health and good calories. And they did not appear in any way to aggrivate the Candida.
We also use the Food for Life 7 Sprouted Grains bread that they say we can use. We make cinnomon toast, and French toast sprinkled with the same cinnomon mix with the xylitol sugar. See we have eaten good.. and still kicked the heck out of the Candida.
I really get bored with the same foods all the time. I would go nuts if I had to stick to just a few foods. I like variety !!!
We also have a rice cooker.. and we eat rice almost every nite.. all kinds of mixed brown rices and wild rices.. mustard seeds.. ect. A limited amount but we still eat them.
And if you read my other post.. you know xylitol herbal sugar.. yummy..kills candida. And we think taste better then sugar. We Even make candy, by blending xylitol into a powdered
Sugar in our vitamix and adding to almond butter. Lemonaid. Lemonaid and lime protein drinks.. V-8 drinks..all with something in them to kill off Candida.( also in another post )
Yes, we have had a lot of trips to the bathroom !! With the die off .. but every trip we just said, Take That you Nasty Candida !! lol !! And the mostly costly thing of all was the Probotics.. We used and still take 12 a day.

We plan to stay close to what we have been doing.. We like this way of eating .. It is not far off of what we were eating.. tho' better in many ways. My husband was a junk food junkie.. and I am really happy that those days are gone.
By the way we never had stool problems. Chia does a great job with that. It is high fiber and swells with water. Ends up like a Gell. If you soak it that is what it looks like. Personally I like to just put it in food. Or take a mouth full and wash it down. Very good for the intestinal track. Between that and the xylitol.. chorella we had no problems what so ever. Kept clean and Green. !! lol !
My husband just had a blood test... Everything Came back perfect !!! yea! and No loss in his Oxygen stats. He is holding steady. Me well, guys I do not like to go to Doctors much, Even tho' I work for them. I only go when I really feel I have to.
As you can tell WE EAT GOOD !!
