Hello Jackie,
It it good to hear you are ready to do some juicing!
You may already have gone through the post that contains many links on juicing. There are posts with 'favorite'
juicing recipes shared.
I shared a recipe in the post "The Power of Juicing";
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1684184#i
1/2 of the juice blend was carrots.
The other 1/2 was a combination of: celery, brussel sprouts, bell pepper, cucumber, spinach, sting beans.
It is not too expensive to make as it is 1/2 carrots. You get a lot of juice out of a couple carrots. I can't answer the question of how much produce is needed, as all juicers and produce vary.

When I juice, I vary what I use depending on what is in season locally and in the winter what is available at my local co-op. Fortunately I have not had to deal with having produced shipped, but it makes me think. I should be keeping a journal with information on 'how much' produce it takes to make different blends... hmmm.
Happy Juicing!
