It's easy enough to call the company and ask them, as well as research online about MSG and glutamate. The FDA considers labels such as "No MSG" or "No Added MSG" to be misleading if the food contains ingredients that are sources of free glutamate, such as hydrolyzed protein. Bragg's contains naturally occuring glutamate and its salts as do other foods. It doesn't contain the commercially produced MSG that is added to foods. Overall, I think it is still safe. As with all foods, it's best to use what works well for your body. Someone with extreme MSG sensitivity might not do well with this and other foods like cheeses and tomatoes that contain naturally occuring forms.
