You state my exact issue with the New Age movement/religion. The religion lulls them to sleep, with their meditation and narcissist focus on themselves, instead of on the Whole/One.
I have nothing against meditation, I meditate daily. However, the "fruit" of the meditation should be increased awareness leading to action.
You are correct that we need to take full responsibility for the mess we have collectively created on this planet, in order to regain balance. Many new agers just stick their heads in the sand, saying they will "transcend" all the chaos and somehow avoid it. Similar to the christian idea of the rapture. Yeah right.
"recreate ourselves through brave ACTIONS. Intentions are not enough." Yes yes yes. And our passion for change must lead to action.
I know better now, however previously I used meditation as an escape. I ran away from what is/was. And I have yoga acquantances who are more concerned with proper breath work and nice lean bodies, than they are about this mess of a reality. We could chant until the cows come home, but nothing will change until we take ACTION.
