This is a reply to # 1,682,882It's been like waiting for the other shoe to drop. My original instinct was this was a terrorist attack. It does feel like 9-11.
I did find an article on a new species of oil eating bacteria, so gaia is trying to clean up what we throw at her.

to "During the last week of August 2010, production from this facility averaged approximately 9.2 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 1,400 barrels of oil and condensate."

The explosion certainly did not happen if there was no oil and gas making it to the rig, did it? Then again, the BP well was not a producing well.
