I am gearing up for another order but I really need some guidance here. I'm going in circles and getting NO where fast. The adrenal issues started about 6 weeks ago and things are getting worse with no improvements. I realize (I think) that you're in the middle of all kinds of life-stressers...but is there anything in particular that happened around that time (possibly 2-4 weeks before) that you feel might be some type of trigger? In the post below there's tons of information about 'dirty electricity' and EMFs and how they affect the body (particularly adrenals, heart, blood sugar) - so check everything ...new cordless phones at home? (particulary DECT types) move to a new home (close/r to a cell tower)? new cell phone? WiFi in the home recently added? different job with more EMF exposure? Please be sure to watch all the videos in the post below and read the information posted (and follow that link to read the rest). They're finding more & more & more how insidious this electro-smog-pollution is to our body (particularly adrenals), so be sure to start by eliminating everything possible (and be SURE to eliminate everything in your bedroom. Unplug everything before sleeping and remove cell phone batteries). Be absolutely sure your new home is NOT "wifi". Barefooting 15 minutes daily? ESSENTIAL (2-4x daily would be much better).
Let me start with what I am taking and doing and then I will post several questions. I know you are busy so quick answers will be fine. Thanks, I'll try (but everyone knows "quick answers" are my weak point! lol)
I have been taking Ashwaganda, your adrenal formula, cayenne, superfood, kelp, LBB, juicing as much as I can, eating lots of raw garlic. The only scripts I'm taking are HRT's, no supplements.
My symptoms have been racing heart, palpitations, excessive hunger, severe fatigue, heat intolerance, hair loss, a constant frog in my throat. I can no longer exercise and have near fainting spells. In the past week new symptoms started that include. HOT feet, calfs are cramping, weakness, legs, back and shoulders ache and I have felt flu like symptoms for about 5 days, achey, sore throat and just plain miserable!! I did not sleep one minute last nite do to the jitters and racey heart. I stopped the Valtrex sometime ago and the cold sores are relentless, with one right after another. My immune system has really taken a dive and I'm at my wits end. Aaaah honey, that sounds totally miserable - I'm so sorry....adrenal, endocrine, hormone :( Let's see what we can do to calm things down!
Here is my plan (if you have a better one please tell me) and a few questions:
I plan on doing Schulze's kidney cleanse but don't have the time off until the 1st week of Oct. in the meantime I will keep going at this with what I can. The kidney cleanse is super-easy, so if you want to you can easily do it while working (the only issue would be frequent urination). All you'd need to do is have the morning lemon/lime drink, then take the tea to work (you could add the right amount of tincture to the tea bottle/thermos before you leave). Here's the instructions: http://curezone.com/upload/_N_Forums/Natural_Heali/Kidney_Cleanse.doc BUT, we always are 'extra special careful' when doing detoxification work on top of weak adrenals...so you'd want to be sure to add extra charcoal or bentonite to the IF#2. And if you're not taking IF#2, I suggest at least 5 teaspoons of activated charcoal daily (if you're taking the IF#2, just add a teaspoon of charcoal to eachof the 5 doses of IF#2). You can read more about Activated Charcoal and it's benefits/usage here http://healingtools.tripod.com/ACP_pages.html (quick info: to make an activated charcoal slurry, just add 1 tsp-1 tablespoon of activated charcoal to 8oz of water or juice and mix thoroughly - it has no taste, it's just gritty, so it's easier for some to drink it with a straw).
#1. How long can I take the Ashwagandha? I have about a weeks left of the 1 lb bag. As far as I know, you can take it every day for as long as it's benefiting you. I don't know how much you're taking (but I seem to remember you mentioning it helped)...so if you're only taking 1 tablespoon daily, you can certainly "up it" to 1 tablespoon 3x daily. For 3T daily you'd need 700 grams (454 grams in a pound)
#2 I'm going to order Acerola Berry for some extra C but don't know how to get the natural B5. I have read you should take all of the B's but not sure how to do that w/o a supplement, which is a no no. How do I go about this? Bee Pollen! They've got it at Mountain Rose, but it's best if you can find it from a local source (local pollen = no 'pollen allergens' you're not used to).
#3 I want to order something to help me sleep and stop some of this shaky jittery crap. Would you suggest your nerve sedative or do you have something that might work better for this? The herb/tincture that's most likely to put you to sleep and stop some of the 'shaky jittery' is Lady's Slipper (far more effective than anything other 'calming herb'). 1 teaspoon (4 droppersful) is usually enough to induce sleep (but of course, it make take more when we're 'high stressing')....4oz should be plenty.
The other thing I highly suggest is Dr. Christopher's "Glandular Formula" tincture. It's a blend of Mullein & Lobelia, and he used it to calm & soothe ALL 'glandular issues'. It's extremely calming (both physically and mentally), and I always notice a very positive effect when I take it (4 dropperfuls = 1 teaspoon, and I suggest at least a teaspoon 3-5 x daily), so you might want to get 8oz of that.
Also note: Miss H found that the Kelp Combination was 'stimulating' to her at times, so you might want to cut back on that (or stop it) for a day or two - it might make a difference.
Regarding the HRT and hormones. When we enter peri/menopause, the adrenals pick up the burden of generating the 'female hormones'...and when they're stressed, they aren't making enough. I'm guessing you were stable (or fairly stable) on the HRT, but perhaps you could use a boost there. If so, the Female Formula is absolutely wonderful. #4. The fatigue is so bad I don't have it in me to research info on kefir right now but wanted to know if it is something you sell? I'm sure I need something for the gut flora. At the moment, we have some extra (dehydrated) Water Kefir grains, so just mention in the "note" section that you want some and we'll include them, no charge. We can all thank Telluride for sending us some of his extras, so now we have extras to send everybody else :) The amount we send will rehydrate into around 2 cups of grains. And if you want a very tasty 'kefir treat' be sure to get some of the 'Root Beer Kefir herbs" (there's several of the herbs in the mix that are very good for the adrenals. Even though it's not "therapeutic size dosage", it still makes yummy "root beer kefir" :)
#5 I have a couple bottles of your Super Tonic. Should I throw this into the mix? If so, can I just put a 1 TBS in a bit of water and drink it that way? Drinking a whole glass of it is difficult but it might be something I need to drink thru the day. What are your thoughts? Hmmm, the Super Tonic IS effective, but I don't know if you want to be throwing "die off" into the mix right now or not. If you decide to start taking it, I don't suggest more than 1T a day, and be SURE you're giving your lymphatic system lots of support (dry skin brushing, rebounding, castor oil packs on mid-torso - Peyers patches). Speaking of castor oil packs - YES...on the mid torso or adrenals nightly AND on the area where you feel congested around your throat. Castor oil packs are likely THE most underestimated therapy in the world!!!
#6 Ok this is it I promise. I know I need to do IF 1 and 2 a couple of weeks before I start the kidney cleanse. I will be ordering that along with the kidney formula. Is there anything else I will need to get for this cleanse? If you'd rather use the LBB (instead of the IF#1) that's no problem at all. I think I've mentioned everything else, but I want to be sure and re-mention the activated charcoal (you can get it from us, or here's a good/inexpensive source: Activated Charcoal Powder ) Another thing - with adrenal issues there always seems to be a lack of assimilation (I always felt like I wasn't getting enough to eat, even after I'd just finished eating), so make sure you have enough Superfood on hand to be getting 6T daily. Stay seriously hydrated and be SURE to get outside (on the earth/grass) in your barefeet at least once a day.
Also, when you're making that note about 'water kefir grains', add that you'd like samples of Kava, Passionflower, Wild Lettuce and Nerve Sedative - those are the other "calmers" and if you have some of each you can try them out and see which might be effective for you (the Lady's Slipper is the most expensive thing we have :(
