A moderator is saying people are being inappropriate in the liver flush debate forum, but I don't see what the problem is. They disagree with liver flushing.... which is what constitutes a debate, isn't it? Well they're being threatened to clean up their posts or be banned and what they need to clean up is laughable, literally.
They don't want a debate forum, they want a support group!
What say you?

IMO, the moderator was correct and I wish that more would follow the example. Perhaps the reason you fail to see the problem is that it has been 5 days since the moderator cracked down and many of the posts have been cleaned up as was instructed. At any rate, debate need not have name calling, ridicule and slurs. It IS possible to have an effective and even lively debate while still being civil. As I pointed out on the debate forum, this is supposed to be a site about healing and I have to wonder just how healing it is to abuse other members regardless of the forum.
My 2 cents.
I was relieved to finally see a moderator in the Liver Flush Debate forum do something about what was going on!
Gina I agree with DQ, maybe you missed the worst of it because when you read the threads they had already been cleaned up by the poster at the moderator's demand that they do so.
Debate can be civil without it degrading to personal attacks and insults which is what was happening there.
Thank you Liver Flush moderator!

In case any of the other mods here wondered about whether or not they should enforce TOS and civility, I would simply remind them that there is only one person who gives out ratings in this forum. Need I say more?
Thanks big guy - I am so very glad to see you agree and make your stance known!
