I'm now designing the timesheet for my sons IP. I purchased clay from holistichorse today. She again cautioned me to give all vitamins/supplements, tinctures/teas 1 hour before or one hour away from claybath/packs.
Any thoughts on this? When would be the right time to do clay bath/packs when on IP?

Ode To Vitamins
A commonly asked question is whether or not clay will destroy vitamins. In other words, can it resist sucking up all the "good stuff" in the intestinal track while it sucks up all the "bad stuff"? Unfortunately, there is no straight answer to this question; That really depends on the mineral clay being ingested. Because all clay vary in their consistency, taste, and color, their actions will differ. Some will enhance or expand the potency of whatever supplements you take, while others will steal the nutrients for all they are worth.
However, beware of clays whose labels tell you to load up on a wide array of vitamins after you take them. If this is the program they call for, the clay's aBsorbing power goes far beyond that of aBsorbing toxins. In all probablity, this clay is not safe for regular consumption. Healthy persons may use these types of clays once a while when nothing better is available, but they should never make a regular habit of it. Young children, pregnant women, and persons with low vitality, however, should stay away from these types of mineral clays. When vital energy is needed most, they will cause the body to work harder than normal. Taken on a daily basis, they will weaken the cells, sap the body of strength, ruin elimination, and finally lead to the very thing the body tries to desperately avoid: disease.
The ideal clay is the one that will aDsorb and aBsorb the poisons, as well as enhance or expand whatever nutrients you put into your body. For instance, if you take the herbs ginseng and garlic, or the antioxidant pycnogenol, you should benefit from greater assimilation because of the clay's action as an intestinal cleanser and gastrointestinal regulator. As the body cleans house, it is in a better position to more efficiently assimilate the much-needed nutrients.
Unfortunately, many people take a handful of supplements but never reap the desired effects because of the malfunctioning colon. Whereas a healthy person will digest more of whatever food substance he or she puts into the body, someone whose colon function is deficient may digest very little. Although new health programs may be introduced, sometimes the person is still left feeling run-down, cranky and sick. Clay can be an important part of one's health program because it assists colon function. Then, whatever supplements are taken in addition to the clay will be better used by the body because the body has the means to do so.
Clay and medication
Clay should not be eaten within three hours before or after having taken medication because it will interfere with the effective natural digestion of most drugs. ("Medication" here refers to any sort of drug, NOT a supplement.)
Unfortunately, very little scientific research on clay's interaction with drugs is available. But, when rats ate clay after being poisoned, repeated doses of clay prevented gastrointestinal aBsorption of the poison , which continued for up to 30 hours. This supports the opinions of many physicians, both alternative and allopathic, that the clay and the medication should not be taken at the same time. Because of the clay's aBsorptive and aDsorptive abilities, it draws synthetic medicines into its sphere and renders them ineffective to protect the body. This is not a useful result if one relies on medication.
All this does not mean, however, that one cannot eat clay if taking medicine. It simple means that adjustments to medication and clay-eating schedules must be made such that neither will have any specific influence on the other. Also, take no more than one or two doses of clay per day.
