I've heard about worsening of symptoms, and that it's somehow supposed to be a sign of healing... but...
When I OP, especially after longer sessions -- I just now did it for 40 minutes, though I most often do it for around 15 minutes -- I sometimes notice a lot bleeding right after. The bleeding doesn't start automatically of course, but as soon as I touch the gums ever so slightly, or start brushing.
I took special notice of it today because I hadn't OP'd for a few days (actually I had, but only for a very short time every day), and I did it now, and there's a lot of bleeding and the gums around certain teeth seem ultra-sensitive (I just poked them a little and blood came).
I'm using Sesame Oil, by the way.
Now, is this really normal? And more importantly, is this really okay?
When this happens I can't help but to get the feeling that perhaps Oil Pulling isn't a good idea for MY teeth (and gums), that maybe in my case it's doing more harm than good. I don't know why this would be though, but that's how it feels.
Has anyone else experienced this, and does it pass and get better? Is it REALLY healing when lots of blood is coming out?
Or is it a sign that I shouldn't do it...?
