A question came up in another forum by itsmeagain who I know won't mind me reposting this here. She is a person who enjoys exploring and playing with concepts. Her question was...
"Could you please explain the difference between and open mind and just saying no to influence.
Confusing :)"
An open mind is what it suggests. It is the choice to remain open to new possibilities within the field of infinite potential. Never cling fast to only one idea. Many have spoken about how having attachments to anything or idea can close you off to an infinite array of other choices/ideas, etc.
Because of the way we are playing the game of life well within the field of infinite potential, energy is exchanged and flows in many ways. The key though is that energy IS flowing and IS continually exchanged (changing states).
When we eat there is an energy exchange. When we communicate there is an energy exchange. In fact, I would maintain that all interaction is a form communication(including eating which at the quantum energy level IS information). I could venture into the loosh concept at this point but then that is only another label for what I am describing anyway. (people tend to get hung up on the negative aspect of loosh but that is only one polar aspect).
As we take this further, in these energy exchanges, there is influence taking place. One point acts an another point. Points can be thought of as vantage points within consciousness. A point could be a person, a rock, an idea, etc. The sheer transfer of energy is a form of influence. One point of interaction is either influencing or being influenced in any given moment. There is no static aspect to this. The universe is continually seeking balance throughout this interplay. You can begin to see how this relates to the concept of karma. ;-)
As we move into the human story in this regard, through awareness, we can make choices that see us less influenced (especially negatively) vs being more influenced in interactions.
You can take this further into the collective story that I think you are taking about and apply it there. ;-)
It may be helpful to think in therms of energy exchanges...polarity....flow and the influence that occurs in these energetic circuits.
I hope that makes it a bit more clear. Test this out in your mind.
