Can you tell me how we contract flukes? I've been told that it's from eating water plants but I don't think I've ever eating any in my life!

Is it possible for flukes to be passed from person to person? I know that for some flukes, labs will test saliva for eggs!..yuck!

According to what I've read, we can not auto infect so therefor the fluke infection should be self limiting.

This conflicting information just adds yet another burden!
