Zoebess posted this about the size of the spill.

1 barrel of oil contains 44 gallons.

5 million barrels of oil = 220 million gallons of oil.

A gasoline tanker holds 9000 gallons of oil.

So figure 24,444 tanker trucks.

And that is just what they admitted to spilling, with the cover up, it was proabably much more, and the 5 million figure was very likely negotiated.

(Between heads of state, I suspect.)

So round it up, 25 thousand tanker trucks.

What size cavity would that leave in the earth?

Not to mention the natural gas.

It is a long way down, but I've begining to wonder what might happen next.
