I posted this also on the
Iodine supplemention forum but I thought you might appreciate this here also:
I just did another
Iodine loading test with bromide and fluoride testing
My urine Bromide level was 39mg/L last month
In Feb 2010 my serum Bromide was 51mg/L
In June 2008 my urine bromide was 16mg/L
rule of thumb is that serum bromide levels are about double of urinary levels
so this means in summary
June 2008 bromide = 16
Feb 2010 bromide = 25.5 (serum level divided by 2)
June 2010 bromide = 39
Important note:
after June 2008 I only took
Iodine for a short while, I had some issues that came up and I didn't understand enough so I stopped taking it.
since feb 2010 I have been taking mostly 100mg of Iodoral and some
SSKI
Hey, that bromide is going in the wrong direction!!!!! Stop That this instant! Ha ha.
Looks like I am getting it out of me, it just might take awhile.........
I will note also that my iodine excretion was 57mg of the 50mg of Iodoral I took. They said that 24 hours stopping of iodine before the test was enough. I think I stopped 48 hours before, but I think I was taking 100mg / day then, so that could explain the surplus above 50mg. And since I was dosing so high it could be why the bromide was higher than in Feb also.
Although I talked with Charles Hakala of Hakala Labs and he said he has seen it go up with some people when tested later......
just thought I would share that with you all for informations sake.
