The first time she tested me (1 month ago), I believe she did test my T3 and T4 and they were were "normal" (not sure on the exact numbers)... She didn't re-test those because she wasn't expecting anything to change. The only reason I got a second test was because I told her about my candida problems. The second time she tested calcium, cortisol and TSH and that's when the TSH was borderline.
I eat a lot of avocado and I just started using more
Sea Salt . My usual meals consist of a big grean salad (lettuce, tomatos, cucumbers, avocado) and sometimes some baked chicken breast, fish or eggs. Occasionally I'll have some brown rice with that. Then I usually follow it up with plain yogurt (no sugar, probiotic-enhanced) with cinnamon and a few oats or berries. That diet seems to be working quite well for me.. hardly any symptoms at all.
My naturopath suggested I take kelp/iodine but my endocrinologist told me not to take supplements and told me specifically that some of her patients take
Iodine and end up making it worse. I hate when my two professions give me conflicting advice!
Here is exactly what I'm taking in the way of supplements:
vitamin B complex (50mg, 2 times per day)
coral calcium (250mg, 2 times per day)
vitamin C (1000mg, 2 times per day)
oregano oil (1 drop, 2 times per day)
udo's choice probiotics, super 8 (2 times/day)
psyllium 2 times/day
liquid chloraphil concentrate (10 drops in the morning and 10 in a water bottle I drink throughout the day)
I have been monitoring my PH as well and it is now alkaline most of the time, though I have noticed a direct connection between when it's acidic and when I feel bad all around. At this point I can almost predict whether I'm acidic or alkaline just by the way I feel.
Thanks,
Emilie
