You're right! It's appalling that thousands of women worldwide are suffering because of this dreadful device.A Mirena victim who used to frequent this and other sites was in the process of consulting lawyers about launching a class action lawsuit in the States.Unfortunately as I live in the UK I wasn't eligible to join in.I haven't seen her on here for a while but some other women may know if she's still going ahead????
For my part I also suffered terribly because of the Mirena. I was in my 40's when I had it inserted, but didn't realise for almost three years what was causing all my side effects. Joint pains, hair loss,yeast and bladder infections,dizziness,chest pains,numbness and tingling down my left hand side and in my head,violent mood swings, terrible back ache,extreme fatigue,weight gain,vision problems,memory loss,migraines,daily nausea and three Grand Mal seizures. I thought I was dying.There is obviously something major wrong with the Mirena that the manufacturers are keeping quiet about and doctors all over the world appear oblivious.
I had it removed in November and my life has improved drastically.ALL of my side effects have disappeared and I honestly feel 20 years younger than I did last year.
