Yep I am on day 7 and this morning a had bowel movement. Is that normal? Surely not if no food has passed my lips?? Would love to know if that has happened to anyone else fasting.

This is a reply to # 1,651,374I don't think it's anything to worry about. If your drinking any caffeinated beverages that might stimulate a BM when your not eating.

This is a reply to # 1,651,600Ugh. Just had acid reflex in my sleep and woke up kind of chocking on it. Never got that before. It's a sign I really need to fast to give my stomach a break and let my body do some healing. I have fasted before but am having the hardest time getting started this time. Hopefully tomorrow I can do it.

This is a reply to # 1,651,374This is definitely natural. But so is not passing anything the entire fast (though that seems to be rare).
The fact is that we women typically have slower transit times then men, and I doubt that you were paying attention to make sure that you were have a 1-in-1-out type scenario. =) So it's possible you might have a BM again before it's all said an done. - Re: Day 7 and bowel movement? Eh? Valora

This is a reply to # 1,651,374Hi.. Just wanted to say that it is normal to still be having BM's even 7 days into a fast. Angela Stokes did a 92-day Juice Fast/y Feast and still had some solid movements at like day 70. You can look her and her story up easily just by googling her, she is a big name in the raw food world. I hope your fasting journey goes wonderfully. I know it is hard work. My longest was 72-days (juicing) and right now I am mixing a part juice, part Water Fast for a total of 14 days. Best to you. - Re: Day 7 and bowel movement? Eh? mstoriva

This is a reply to # 1,651,374Hey there, glad you're sticking to your fast. Last time I did one I had a 2 or 3 bowel movements on day 7. It's normal because your body is cleansing your colon and removing all that impacted fecal matter that's been there over the years. You are lucky actually some people don't have that until after day 11.

I had a horrible night last night - mad mad mad pains in my upper back and top of arms - shoulders (forgot the name there which has been happening alot lately). I couldn't sleep at all and the only time I think I did when I tried the child pose in yoga as my arms were not touching the bed. Soooooooooooooo sore!!
This morning my pee was like tea!!! Thinking it was toxins going - all a bit mad
This morning wrecked but taking it easy. My daughter is keeping me from sleeping - I reckon I could sleep now!! Help.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,651,946I read that body aches could indicate the elimination of fatty tissue from that area of the body and it's not harmful.
If you think it is something more than that and it persists, definitely get it checked out, though.
Lower back pain could be a symptom of dehydration, though. So keep an eye on your fluid intake if you are having lumbar pain.

Keep on - you are doing great!
I lost another 5# over the weekend :O and I'm about 2/3 to my original goal. Yay!
Can't say I'm really hungry. I did go out with friends this weekend and Saturday night at a cafe I ordered iced tea while they ate their salads and I did fine.
