Hi I am a 23 year old and just found out I had pancreatitis. I went to the Hospital because I was getting heart burn for no reaso and it scared me to death. They ran every test possible and found out my pancreas enzymes were elevated. I drink occasionally but havent since this happened. They never told me if I had Gallstones but now I get mild pain on my right side sometime. Gallbladder problems run in the family. I have talked to many people who have said pancreatitis is not a big deal, but reading what people are posting, gets me very nervous. Has anyone ever had just a mild case and if so, how long does it last and are there any options? Please help me out. I have no health insurance and am very scared.
