I had Mirena placed 3.10.10. I have 2 kids and was looking forward to not having to add a birth control to my medication/vitamin list. The research I did (obviously not enough) said nothing of bleeding this heavy for this long. I have been bleeding since placment. I have had about 3-5 days of a brown mucus discharge but for the most part it is like the heaviest of days on my normal cycle... CONSTANTLY!

I contacted my OBGYN and he put me on an Antibiotic explaining that I may have an infection that can cause the bleeding. 2 of the 3- \5 days of non heavy flow was right at the end of my 7 day Antibiotics . I am now right back up to the heavy flow.

I am now anemic and find myself getting dizzy and have NO energy. I already have Depression & anxiety with a complete loss of libido. I was 'hoping' Mirena would help with that. As of today... NO!

Has anyone else had this experience? What did you do? I think I will be having it removed but hate knowing I threw away $245 for a 6 month pain in the 'you know what!"
