I think the journal writing is a really good idea and I will probably start doing it as well. They say when people diet, they should write down everything they eat throughout the day to stay accountable, and I think journal writing for fasting would be akin to the same thing - it's a good way to stay "in the moment" and constantly be aware of what we are doing and keep our goals in mind.
Use visual imagery to hold onto a "picture" of yourself as you want to look and feel.
