my 92yr old grandmom was just swabbed for mrsa. results were positive. she has never had a skin lesion. They are the experts on staph. You may call them also 800.620.3365.
On this site you will be armed with powerful knowledge, one of which is that most have a nasal staph if swabed, indicating that a staph infection is present, however, that is not necessarily the case.
There is so much to learn on this issue which they will provide for you. (I found MRSA30day in a scientific journal.
