I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, since there's no "Skin" forum, and decided to post it to a few different forums.
I had a variety of skin problems: warts, athletes foot, morphia, dandruff, always-damp skin, crusty skin.
I read (here at CureZone) that apple cider vinegar (ACV) is great for curing warts, tried it on a wart on my arm, and it worked great. So I washed my whole body with it. My skin felt refreshed. That same day, a smelly always-damp patch of skin I'd had for years dried immediately and has never come back.
*** How to do an ACV wash: Start with a clean dry washcloth, add ACV and wipe all over except your eyes and any open sores or cuts. Be in a well ventilated room because the ACV smell can get powerful. WARNING: ACV on an open sore or cut will sting intensely for about a minute. It's best to heal the cut/sore first with neosporin and a bandaid, then do the ACV treatment.
I repeated the washcloth-ACV body wipe several more times, every day or two. Suddenly my patches of morphia began to itch and as I scratched them, the skin came off like peeling sunburt skin. (Morphia is a rare skin condition where the skin separates into layers. I've had it for decades. Dermatologists had diagnosed it and told me there's no known cause and no known cure.) Well, I know a cure, or at least a way of treating it to remove it. About 10 days of applying ACV straight, a few times a day, to the morphia skin and most of it has peeled right off, with normal skin in it's place. (Don't ask me what I think of doctors!!! Grrrrr.)
Dandruff can be stopped by rinsing with ACV. I used it half strength, then full strength. Dandruff can extend into forehead, eyebrows, around the nose, so wipe your face with it too. Applying ACV once wasn't enough to cure my dandruff so I'm using it about once a week, after the shampoo and before the conditioner.
Crusty skin also responded to ACV, though I'm needing to repeatedly apply it to keep the crustiness gone. If I forget a few days, the crustiness comes back, but ACV usually takes it right off again in one treatment. At first, I had to apply ACV several times before the crustiness scratched off, but now, while I apply ACV, any crustiness comes right off.
I also had a gray crustineness on my knuckles. (I'd been using hydrocortisone for cracking skin on my knuckles and when I stopped using it, the knuckles got the thick gray crust.) Applying ACV decreased the itchiness and after several days, all crustiness disappeared. Now I wipe my hands daily with ACV to keep the knuckles looking normal. If I miss a day, itchiness reminds me.
ACV is either a cure or an effective treatment for many skin problems. I use the cheap supermarket brand. I also consume one tablespoon per day. Thank God for ACV!!! I recommend everyone try it for their skin problems. Hope this helps others.
