I just heard this great interview by Terri Gross (NPR) dated June 10 2010. Second person named Josh Fox just made a documentary about the how the Gas companies are pumping chemicals into the rocks below ground to release natural gas(called Fracking). it is really f'ing up the groundwater with chemicals and heavy metals in some places around the country. One place is not too far from me in Weld county colorado, some people can lite their water on fire coming out of the tap....it is really the gas coming out that lites up but it is really disturbing to see.
