Hi Serafina,
I was wondering if they ever made it through customs.
As for the chocolate, yes the oxalates in chocolate can increase the risk of calcium oxalate kidney stones. Oxalic acid found in chocolate, tea, coffee, rhubarb, kale, spinach, etc. binds with calcium forming the insoluble calcium oxalate. This prevents the calcium from being utilized by the body and the insoluble complex going through the kidneys can lead to stone formation. If you are drinking coffee or tea or eating milk chocolate the risk increases.
Acidified magnesium's such as citrate and malate can help break up the stones.
What about drinking organic apple juice for malic acid to dissolve stones?

That will work if they are uric acid stones. Malic acid dissolves uric acid. It will not work for calcium oxalate stones though. Magnesium works for these stones. This is why I like the magnesium malate for kidney stones since it covers the two most common forms of stones.
Nettle leaf also breaks down both forms of stones.
HV, are you familiar with the life of Milarepa, the great yogi/poet?
No, never heard of him.
Wouldn't eating apples be a good idea? That is, getting the malic acid in its *whole* state.
Green apples are high in malic acid, but not red apples. And you will not get as much magnesium, which is also necessary for ATP formation.
Welcome in Belgium!
We have also a lot of different beers, but it is not very good for your health :(
Beer is as nasty tasting as coffee
Beer is rich in silica, which is its only redeeming quality. Although it also increases uric acid production and inhibits uric acid excretion.
Beer is also very estrogenic. Same applies to gin, ouzo and whiskey. It is the estrogenic effect of beer that gives men "beer bellies" and moobs.
But then, there are all sorts of beers now, how about nettle beer?
Heard of it but never tried it. I am actually not that big of a fan of alcohol so I rarely have a drink anyway.
I did like apple beer when I was younger but I am not sure if it had any alcohol. I heard it had a little, but you did not have to be 21 to buy it. I have not seen it in nearly 30 years.
