Were you able to reach a state of health whereby you didn't need synthroid or other artificial hormone replacement? I beleive the body is capable of healing almost anything. It just needs a reminder how some times.

Apparently there is strong connection between hypothyroidism and Candidiasis (yeast overgrowth), in fact 95% of the patients with non-hereditary hypothyroid will have Candida syndrom as well. Hence it is possible that Candida treatment will help. The liason between hypothriodism and Candida is very strong (see Wilson's syndrom or read dr W. Crook's Yeast Connection and the woman).

I am curious about this link with candida. i suffered from candida for a long time and finally rid myself of it about 1.5 years ago. however, about 6 months ago, i was formally diagnosed with hashimotos. maybe this is the cuase? i am very certain that the yeast is gone but still have some hypo symptoms...periods are wierd. did you find any info on whether with time the hashimotos will get better if yeast is gone or is it just that the yeast initially cuases it and even if the yeast is gone, people still have problems? thanks!
