Hi
I would be very grateful if someone experienced in UT could give me some advice /guidance.
I have been extremely ill with chest pains breathing problems and extreme burning pain in my lower back. Also have classic adrenal fatigue symptoms and feel like my body cant regulate its electrolytes and water balance. When I started to get the extreme pain in my lower back I started to drink my own urine as I was sure I was dehydrated as as crazy as it sounds I cant handle plain water as it makes chest pain and breathing problems much worse. been doing UT every day for 3 weeks drinking around 80% of urine adding some salt when it doesnt taste salty and adding water when it does taste salty.
Have definately been feeling much better since doing this and I am scared what will happen if I stop, however after 1 week on UT my urea levels in blood jumped up to 8.2 and creatinine to around 115 then following another 2 weeks of UT my new readings are urea 10.1 & creatinine 136 (37 year old male) and consequently my kidney function result or EGFR has come in at 51 which would normal suggest big kidney problems. I also have urgency to pee all the time and at the start when just starting UT I had a small amount of protein in urine but believe that this is now better.
Anyway assuming that these raised results is because of my UT should I be worried at all, and also assuming that I did have a kidney problem would having to get my kidneys to re-filter the increased amount of urea & creatinine damage my kidneys more.
I am really stressed over all this amd am going to reduce my UT to around half or less and get re-tested in a week or so but would be grateful for any advice or help.
Thanks in advance
