Hi all...
It has been 2 weeks since I returned form a truly traumatic week, and I've started returning to 'normal' (well, as normal as i'll be for some time) -- except have been having panic symptoms again, and recently insomnia.
Last two nights were bad. Sat night slept very little. Last night I slept only fitfully, w/ disturbing dreams. Finally I awoke at around 3am with the familiar symptoms of a panic attack: heart racing & pounding, light-headed, a ton of anxiety. I made my way to the kitchen (dizzy!) and grabbed by bottle of Uny's cayenne tincture. Drank 2-3 droppers-full w/ some juice and returned to bed. Within a few minutes, my heart began to calm down. I gradually relaxed... And I was asleep within probably 30 minutes. And I slept through until this morning! Pretty amazing.
After getting up the anxiety started again, though not as bad... Had more cayenne, and calmed down again.
Amazing stuff!

Isn't it amazing that what you thought of taking was the Cayenne? Your body knew what it needed and it told you lol!
It works that way with me too, as soon as my body feels like it might be catching something I go right to the Echinacea.
Cayenne ROCKS and so does knowing how to listen to your doctor within! ;)

Yes pretty darn cool... But I realize I need to start finding ways to cope with stress, quickly. Got to attack the cause of the panic attacks. I don't wanna turn into one big drooling Panic Disorder Poster Child (PDPC)... Make that dPDPC haha!!!
Ironically, i came down with a whopper sinus infection or cold too! Started coughing yesterday but thought it was just allergy drainage... This morning i had a fever & was coughing up green stuff. Ugh! Felt like crap, and had to stay home (and on top of it had the full blown panic stuff going on too). Didn't have any echinacea, so slammed garlic & cayenne all day. Work deadline looming, trying not to think about it looming over my head... Sigh.... Oh, to be stress-free for a while!!
Lol, PDPC that's pretty darn funny!
But seriously I agree, you need to get right down to the cause. I'm thinking other than everything you've been going through (and that's a lot) that quitting the Zoloft in just a few weeks after having been on it for many years might be playing a role in the panic attacks.
I'm thinking you have the passion flower tincture, have you tried it for the panic attacks? Maybe until you figure out the cause you could try the Nerve Sedative, that is great stuff!
What about your Herbal Snuff for the sinus infection? I know you had that unless you've used it all lololol, just kidding, a batch of that will last a lifetime. Garlic is definitely good for the green stuff and Cayenne too but I'm sure the snuff would help a whole lot.
Work deadlines don't help a bit ugh!!!
I hope you get to feeling better soon. Please keep us posted.
I'm sending prayers up for ya!
Blankets of blessings,

Just to clarify, the panic attack symptoms started before I quit Zoloft. I remember because that's what started me talking w/ Uny about quitting Zoloft.
It took more than 6 weeks to wean off Zoloft. Maybe 8 weeks. So not too short a time, i don't think? Still though, a big change in a relatively short time, compared with being on it 17 yrs
After the two weeks of panic symptoms (starting w/ the big faint), they subsided & stopped... till just a couple weeks ago after getting back from the Bad week, getting little sleep, and dealing iwth almost daily related crises.
I've tried the passionflower and not noticed much but haven't tried it during an attack. I'll try it.
Nerve sedative! Hadn't thought of that. Might need to order it. Will read up on it.
Big confession: in a rare fit of cleaning -- the day before I got this bug -- I threw out the rest of the herbal snuff! Thinking i'd never be woman or desperate enough to use this again! haha...
Thank you for the suggestions, and most especially for the blanket!! ( I've been wearing Uny's out, too.)
Bundles of blessings,
-B
