Maybe if we eat healthier it wont "heal" our lips but it might help them. so ive been studying a little on my free time. heres what i found about vitamins:
VITAMIN A (retinol)-
Functions- proper cellular growth and maintenance
Sources-Organ meats such as liver and giblets;vegetables such as sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, spinach, and turnip greens;cantaloup.
VITAMIN B2 (riboflavin)-
Functions-Maintenance of healthy mucous membranes; involved in tissue respiration.
Sources-Asparagus,spinach,broccoli,mushrooms,bananas,persimmons,okra,
chard,cottage cheese,milk,yogurt,meat eggs and fish.
VITAMIN D-
Functions-modulate neuromuscular and immune function and reduce inflammation.
Sources-self-synthesis via direct sunlight;cod liver oil; fatty fish species such as herring, catfish, salmon, cooked, mackerel, sardines, tuna, and eel;egg yolk;beef liver.
VITAMIN E-
Functions- antioxidant that helps fight and prevent damage to cells and tissues.
Sources-nuts and seeds such as sunflower seed, almonds, hazelnuts, pine nuts, peanuts, and brazil nuts;turnip greens;peanut butter;spinach and avocado;tomato paste, sauce, and puree.
i think if you eat healthy things that contain vitamin D,E,A, and B2 and exercise regularly that MAYBE your lips will heal..and i dont think putting lip balms will help your lips, thats just my opinion. well im gonna try this. hope it works! all these vitamins are supposed to help with cell or tissue growth or inflammation, so maybe by eating foods containing them EC will go away. i hope.
