Here's a post that I responded personally to someone in the forum that maybe helpful to u as well:
I want to tell any newcomers to please check out this website for helpful information:
mpdela.blogspot.com
enter "protocol for management of tmau" or any other questions u may have on the search bar. This website has been most helpful to me. When topical treatment doesn't seem to help, it seems that we have much more complicated internal issues which are metabolic or bloodborne such as tmau which will not be solved at this time as even the medical field doesn't have an answer. But this website will give u alot of possible treatment remedies which may help us to alleviate the problem. I don't know what issues u may have but assuming u have tmau, following a vegeterian diet has helped me, avoiding meat, sea food, and bean products. I take B2 vitamins 100mg, 2x a day, a.m. and p.m. and take probiotic supplements 2x a day. I will advise u what I am currently doing:
1. For breath: I have discovered orabrush which I read was a free sample given at the Tennessee
Body Odor meetup which is a tongue brush that helps tremendously for fresh breath and for removing the white coating on your tongue. Then I follow with a therabreath mouthwash; go to their websites: orabrush.com (available on online only at this time) and therabreath.com
2. For underarms: I don't seem to have an odor anymore since being on the low-choline/vegeterian diet but I use drysol roll-on for sweat stains which u can get by prescription only in the U.S. In other countries it's over the counter and so much cheaper
3. For feminine odor if u are a woman, which seemed to have disappeared again with the low choline/vegetarian diet, u can use "Rephresh" gel suppositories available at any drugstore or Target, etc.
4. My main issue is foot odor at this time and I have yet to try to solve this problem. Maria de La Torre, author of mpdela.blogspot.com mentioned a product called bactericide USP purified microfined oxide zinc product which could be ordered through "On your toes", 800-726-5790, which I have yet to try. Also, once at a bowling alley, I asked an employee for a bottle of the shoe spray they were using and he kindly gave me one for free. (U know how bowling shoes never seemed to smell?) I have not tried it consistenly to see if it works on my shoes but reading the lable, it kills everything including Influenza 1 and HIV virus?!! It's called Brady Germ-Bac disinfectant deodorant spray, from the bottle:

5. I don't have problems with odor stains from my clothes but heres something if u do which I have discovered for pet urine smells and it works. It claims to work on perspiration odors on clothes as well. It saids it's non-toxic and u could use it directly on pets and on the human body: SCOE 10X.com
I suspect I have tmau but have not been tested because it is costly, inconvenient and not readily accessible but my god for all of us what else could this be?? It's so surreal to me sometimes I have to laugh, I can't believe it is happening to me, don't u agree? But hopefully, in our life time there will be an answer soon. Especially, for those of us who have children like me, I hope there will be an answer soon, if not for me for our children, god forbid if they are affected and have to go through this.
Also, try to make a donation when u can to the tmau fund so that we can help ourselves.
Check out the websites and do your research before trying the products. Hopefully this has been helpful, don't loose hope and keep in touch
