Okay so I was taking zinc for a few years and realized you're supposed to take a copper supplement with it to prevent deficiency. So about a year ago I start the copper along with the zinc. Everything goes great, I feel great until this winter I start getting bad panic attacks out of nowhere. No stress no nothing they just start up. It got really bad where it was happening most of the day and then I started not being able to sleep, sometimes only 2 hrs a night, and I realized wait a minute, too much copper can do that and I completely stopped it. I feel much better, am sleeping finally and panic attacks are going away but now I am having other symptoms which I think are from the my body getting rid of all that extra copper. All the sudden my mind is racing all the time, can't sit still, very sensitive and cry over everything, get angry at everyone around me, bad headaches, its almost like PMS but 100 times worse. Then every few days I get one horrible panic attack and it stops for the next week or so. I was not like this AT ALL WHATSOVER until I stopped the copper. I am usually super layed back, easygoing, nothing really bothers me type of person. I am wondering if these are the copper dumps that I've read about. I'm not taking any vit C at all to help with the copper because I react to vit C. The only things I take are zinc, magnesium, and chromium for blood sugar.
Its just really odd that I had NO symptoms the entire time I took copper, and now that i've stopped it, I have ALL of the copper overload symptoms. I really need help with this...Anyone have any ideas?
