Sorry Uny..... I just couldn't resist. I just uploaded on facebook some pictures of a family vacation to Maui in 2004 and I had to throw a couple pics up here of my incredible niece. She was four then.....and will be ten next month...

You know Uny, that trip I took in 2004 with my brothers kids was incredible. Part of it was the natural surroundings. My parents rented a killer house on the ocean with a pool notched up against the water - which gave me a heck of a lot of great photos. But more importantly, being around young, happy kids who just love life and were up for any challenge was probably just as revealing. There was never a dull moment. Or unhappy time. It was right after the Bush/Kerry election. But it meant nothing to them. They were too busy having fun, exploring, and just plain loving life. I fly out to Boulder for a week every Christmas to stay with them and it is usually the best week of the year. I always come back completely refreshed. Yeah kids can get down - but unlike us they bounce right back up and the troubles are forgotten in a heartbeat. I can't forget my nephew - so I will bore you guys with a couple of more family photos from our trip. ........
