Dr. Lam
first of all, there is something wrong about your cholesterol number. total cholesterol = ldl+ hdl + (triglyceride /5). But that is not the main issue.
your sensitivity is quite common, and can be associated with adrenal weakness which leads to estrogen dominance. Pregenolone will stimulate more production of DHEA and eventually estrogen load will increase , and often also testosterone and thus hair loss and acne. Pregnenlone is generally better than dhea for cases like yours, but both are undesirable. Progesterone also can increase estrogenic effect in people like you because its molecular structure is similar to estrogen and the receptor sites cant tell the difference is those whose adrenal are damaged. Thus the body see estrogen as undesirable, and see progesterone as estrogen like in action and therefore also overreacts. To further push these two is likely to backfire on you more as you go. The good news is that if adrenal is the root issue, fixing it often automatically means normalization of estrogen and progesterone and you will be a happy camper all around. Otherwise, you will continue to be going around in circles and get worse in the interim as the body will punish you fore every wrong move you make. Read my article :
OAT Axis Imbalance to start. Talk to your current doc more and get down to the real root should be your priority.
you need to take a step back and focus on the adrenals first if the adrenals are involved. That may be the root issue that has been overlooked. I am not sure why you need to adjust your hormones to begin with , so my comments are very general.
