sans why did you think you had low stomach acid in the first place (I forget if you told me) was it acid reflux or something else? bitters have not worked for me for some reason I use to use them when I wasn't having acid reflux and they were fine to take but now that I'm having bad acid reflux there not doing a darn thing..neithers anything but ACV is helping get through one meal, still very painful but better than without... the problem with ACV is that its not a solution, so hopefully when I kill off more candida the acid reflux will go away.
yes acid reflux was also one of my first symptoms. but went on the PPis (took three to find one that worked) and it did work, but then my symptoms went to my ears and the rest of my body. so since the acid reducers worked for me, I was great in that area for 2 1/2 years, even being off the meds (think I was only on them for like 3 months) then I used asthma inhalers in dec/jan/feb and it for sure was the trigger that brought it back. even being off them for 2 months has not helped at all though. want to go back on ppi's soooooooo bad i'm in hell. How long did it take for you to raise your stomach acid? I did the bitters and zinc and b vitamins and folate, HCL but it didn't work. Maybe my problem really is too much acid, since the acid blockers worked for me and kept me good for so long. who knows, don't know what my next move is!
was yours acid reflux at meal times or constant 24 hours a day when you don't eat? I even didn't eat for 2 1/2 days and it was still super bad.
I'm not being rude, but why do you think one should take baking soda?? The more I read and inform myself the more this doens't make since. we all for the most part have lack of benefical flora that was killed off then the yeast took over.
"An overgrowth of intestinal yeast is prohibited by benefical flora, intestinal immune defense (secretory IgA), and intestinal ph. Beneficial bacteria such as lactobacillus colonize in the intestines and create an environment unsuitable for yeast by producing acids, such as lactic acid, which lowers intestinal ph."
that info is from the lab that did my stool test. also "ACIDophilus" is called that for a reason.
your right jorge, think thats what sans ment, some scales get confusing cause they show acid on top sometimes making you think "raising" ph. but yes acid lowers ph.
