I don't have recipes to give you but just general principles.
Don't give your kids:
-Soda pops
-Processed food
-Fast food
-Fried food
The above is an excellent start. Don't let them develop taste and addiction to sugary things.

You can try to replace
Sugar with unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses (BSM), as it is loaded with minerals. It has to be blackstrap and not the regular or "fancy" type of molasses. BSM is more concentrated in minerals and has a lot less
Sugar than regular molasses.
