Hey thanks Fenix!! I love my Garlic Twist that Uny recommended. It's the best garlic press-type thing i've ever used. http://www.amazon.com/NexTrend-GT-Clear-Garlic-Twist-Clear/dp/B000173JMS/ref=... However, my hands are usually sore (arthritis or RSI) and the Twist hurts themsometimes. So I might try the Rosle. (The similar Kuhn press looks good too)
Here's a tip: I use a heavy, heavy porcelain mortar & pestle (well, just the mortar part) -- has a nice flat base -- and bang it down on the garlic to soften the clove & knock off the peel. Works better than a flat chef's knife, anything. And it doesn't hurt my hands! (unless of course i leave a finger in the way) Find yourself a similar heavy object for garlic-battering.
