Hi, it's now two and a half weeks after the removal of my Mirena. I have been amazed at the change to most of my negative symptoms, ie mood swings, depression, weight, joint swelling etc. I was over the moon when the aggression seemed to disappear instantly, but have definately not found it very easy to shift the deprssion, today has been a bad day, but so far it's all been very positive. The best news is, having been completely unable to lose any weight in the 3 years I had the Mirena, I have managed to lose 11lbs in a very short space of time, through carrying on with my same diet and exercise (the slimfast is still in the fridge pretty much untouched!) This has been enough proof for me (if I needed any!) That the Mirena was solely responsilbe for my weight gain and inability to lose weight. Just need to keep working on keeping happy. Haven't addressed problem of increasing what seems like
Arthritis in my hands (no sign of it anywhere else in family and 39, surely this is due to sillicone in my body?) Thanks for all the fantastic supportive posts as always! xx
