Molly Bloom
I get very worried about anyone touching me with this condition. If the doctor or the therapist is not completely educated about costo, they can do far more damage than good.
When I interviewed my massage therapist (at length), I point blank asked her to tell me about costo, what she thought caused it, and has she helped anyone with the condition and how she did it.
She had to really show a true understanding of what it is, the pain associated with it before I even let her touch me. She passed my questions with flying colors.
This is a condition that Western Medicine dismisses out of hand, does not believe it's chronic, thinks you are making it up or just being dramatic. They have no idea how to cure it, and all they do is wait to see if it goes away. And all they can do is supply stronger pain killers to mask the pain. It's the reason I pursed natural and alternative therapies, because I realized my doctor was not going to cure this (after over 3 years of massive amounts of painkillers).
