Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your response! The IGM had been measured as normal as well.
My new question is: testing positive to IGG- would this indicate an actual past or current candida infection of the internal organs or would you also come out IGG positive if you had a surface yeast infection? Also, is there any way of knowing how long ago a person would have had the infection if they did have it? Could it be say like a month or a week before or would it definitely be years before if all other levels are normal?
I'm asking because I had a series of health problems (skin flushing, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, malabsorption, panic attacks, GERD, etc) years before that were quite similar to ones that I've recently experienced and I wonder if it was a possible underlying intestinal candida or bacteria overgrowth problem or just happened to be a bunch of food allergies and intolerances that I somehow developed. Major changes in my diet over several months were very helpful in alleviating or reducing many of the symptoms, but I still wonder if I had a problem with intestinal candida or just a very poor diet that got me sick (or both).
I appreciate your input!
