Each person is different. I have met many pregnant unwed women in my time, never did I see them mistreated that way (I'm not saying it's not happening). But some have told the story of how they were coldly mistreated by their immediate family because of the pregnancy. I would give them a big hug to let them know that they are still loved.
As I said earlier, my sister was pregnant and unwed while still a teenager. I loved her baby more then she did and adopted him.
Whether mistreated by family members, friends, or whoever when a person is pregnant, it was not the baby that mistreated anyone. So why should the innocent baby be the one to suffer the misery of having their life ended and in painful manners.
Bottom line is that it is wrong and to not see that it is wrong is being in denial. It has been said so many times before that if the child is not wanted then put it up for adoption. That at least gives the baby a chance at life.

Chance at life, what life? Are you going to guarantee every baby a good life and good people to raise that child? Have you ever heard what happens to some kids in foster care?
It's looking pretty crazy on this earth right now to me, I don't know where you live but maybe you are living a sheltered life. It seems like you don't have any idea what true hardship or trauma, abuse etc. are. A life of pure hell is not a reason to be born.
Bottom line is that it's up to the person that's pregnant to judge for herself what to do about her pregnancy and about her situation and what that baby's life could be like. Not you, not any Politician, Social Worker or nosy person should decide.
If YOU get pregnant and think it's wrong and decide to go ahead and have a baby then that is rightly YOUR choice as a Mother.
And btw no offense because you seem like a good hearted person, but you are really duped by those photos. Who gets abortions THAT LATE in a pregnancy? Percentage wise probably almost no one. I don't know where these pictures came from but least that should make you feel a little better.

This is a reply to # 1,581,062I concure that this is a wicked planet and many cruel things happen on it such as rape, child molestation, kidnapping, etc... To use this as a partial reason to have an abortion, is not a good excuse at all. Abortions only add to the cruelties that are going on in this world.
Orphanages are not perfect, I should know. I have tried to assist an orphanage facility in their needs by volunteering to help out. However, I was satisfied that these kids had a roof over their heads and were out of the cold.
I have read it many of times and agree that I would much whether be brought up in a foster home then killed without any chance at all.
However you look at it, anyone that decides to have an abortion are the ones judging. They are judging their baby to certain death.
Does anyone have the right to take innocent lives. I believe that if anyone really took the time to dig down deep enough, they will see that these baby did no deserve to die.

This is a reply to # 1,580,745I married in the early 70's when I was 18(oh the insanity),
my daughter was born 8.75 months after the wedding and I was a single, divorced Mother by 20. Whether I had been married or not was irrelevent - I was treated badly in general by an intolerant, ignorant world for being a single parent, struggling to support my child, and even received ugliness from my own younger sisters who suggested I "should have been on birth control" - while they merrily procreated under the covering of matrimony and their husband's money. It is so easy to say what others SHOULD do when we are NOT in a position to have to choose.
