I see, so you used something antifungal? Was it drug or herbal or diet?
My approach was quite complicated and involved diet, quite a few nutritional supplements, antiinflammatory foods and herbs. I briefly tried
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement but found it not the best decision due to it damageing bowel flora and other reasons. Then I substituated potassium
Iodide for that which worked the best together with all the others.
I also used antinflammatory enemas to help heal the lower bowel but not too much. It took quite a while experimenting
with all this but probably over a year to get the best result.
The thing is something might work on it's own for someone but not for others and also it could be temporary relief Then they think it's the cure for all UC, and to me, a cure means you never get it again or never to the extent it's diagnosable as UC. So probably you can't claim a cure until after many years but if you are using no drugs and you can tolerate most food without a problem then you amy feel you are cured.
That's why I feel I'll never have any flareups again provided I continue to ensure I look after my digestive system. I also practise qigong which I feel is a big boost to the whole body including the digestion, immune system and glandular sytem and it relieves stress which is a big factor in UC
