A girl at work told me that her midwife told her that the way speculums are cleaned dont protect you from all std's. this woman hasnt had a pap in almost 10 years.

This is a reply to # 1,581,268I'd hate to think this was actually happening but the midwife may be protecting her business and, in a subtle way, trying to prevent you from seeing a medical provider. Is this a traditional home midwife or a certified midwife who works in concert with a clinic or hospital?
