uklad's right. Don't waste your life over this. Find a moisturiser or balm which makes the lips as manageable as possible and get on with it. There's far, far worse things that could be wrong.
For 3 years I let this seriously affect my life. Not going out with friends, avoiding dating girls etc. I went back to Uni at 26 last year to do a teaching course. Finally realising that girls were still interested regardless of this took me out of this spiral.
I used to be completely obsessed with EC. I'd be on here every night longing for a cure and trying everything I could afford attempting to do so. When I think of the hundreds (and possibly thousands) of
pounds I've wasted I can't believe it. Now I still pop back maybe once a week to see if anyone has posted anything more than, "This is definately what's wrong. This is definately the cure etc."
We all have theories but no-one (and I mean no-one) on here really knows what's wrong or truly how to cure it. For the millionth time I'll say that my Fordyce's Spots are linked.
Batrafen (Ciclopirox) applied twice a day and Dovonex applied before bed have made this as manageable as I have found in the last 3 years. The lips peel fairly easily and evenly when I choose to do so.
I'm extremely content with my life at the moment even though I have to peel off three squares on the bottom of my top lip and rinse a white line of slime off my lips occassionally.
You can live life with this. You just have to accept it and deal with it as best you can.
Where you based uklad?
