I dont think it necessary but beneficial. When i first started flushing i would catch a cold a day after the flush. This happend with the first 2 or 3 flushes. I think the reason this happens is because the stuff is pretty toxic that comes out of the liver and an enema helps get it out. However i no longer catch colds after a flush. You can do a flush and get benefits without a enema but they seem to help. And i dont agree with that they will get lodged in the colon if you dont take an enema, I suppose theres a chance for anything but in my opinion not likely.

Hi Guy - I did several colonics before I did a Liver Flush a year ago. A day or two after the flush I did another colonic. This released a lot of old toxins into my colon--more than in any of my previous colonics. If I hadn't done this colon cleansing before and after the flush, the toxins that were dumped into my colon would have probably made me quite ill. Also, the flush wouldn't have been as effective.

I'm glad I followed the advice in Andreas Moritz 's book, and did those colonics before and after the flush. I'm not aware of any alternative to doing them and/or enemas as part of a liver flush. I can understand your reluctance to shove water into yourself from the wrong end (as you put it), but I can assure you it will do you a lot of good for your liver flush.

The goal of an enema afterwords is to help wash out left-overs from the liver flush. A possible alternative would be to do a salt water flush instead of an enema as it will also wash out the colon. Personally, the enema is quicker, easier and more pleasant IMHO, but different strokes for different folks. The salt water flush should be a viable alternative.
