I'm pretty sure that I've read that
Iodine is good for dry eyes. I do know that
Iodine is used by every part of the body , including the mucosal linings. We're all pretty
Iodine deficient these days. On the cheap, Swansons vitamins has 2oz of 2%
Lugols for about $11. If you opt to go the way of sea veggies, be aware that a large percentage of kelp supplements have been found contaminated with arsenic. There is a brand called Sea Vegs that sell packages of kelp, etc. You can add that to your diet easily. Read up on

and the iodine supplement forum here on curezone.
Alternatively, quaifeninsen (otc generic stuff) thins the mucus and helps dry mouth, might work for dry eyes.
But, I just found this link:
http://www.letstalkhealth.com/Organic-Iodine-p/479.htm
"The lachrymal glands of the eye use iodine to help create tears, when iodine is in short supply, dry eyes result. Iodine is also used by the parotid and sub-mandibular glands of the mouth, lack of iodine can result in dry mouth."
So, I definitely, and enthusiastically recommend iodine.
