Hello, I have a 5 year old daughter who has recurrent oral herpes on her tongue. I have had oral herpes once in a while since a few years ago, so I am probably the one who infected her. The herpes sores are very small blisters, but they are painful.
When I get herpes on my tongue, I know what to do to immediately stop the outbreak: I just rub it with fresh ginger. I have found this remedy to be 100% effective to stop the virus from spreading. The ulcer will not heal immediately, but will hurt much less, and will subside in a day of two.
The matter is that ginger burns a little whan applied on the sore, and my daughter does not tolerate the pain.
I am looking for another natural remedy to boost her immune system and stop herpes from reoccurring. She already takes 500 mg vit D, kelp and fish oil. I have found a few different remedies which are sold on the web, but they are all quite expensive, and most of them come in the form of a ointment, which seems not quite appropriate for the tongue.
Thanks in advance for your help!
