toxified
Hi forum. Would be great to get some ideas from people!! Ok, I am a 27 yo male and for the past few months i have been experiencing very strange progressive symptoms.
It all began around late november and the first thing i noticed was that my vision was blurring and it was hard to focus. I was also experiencing bad headaches. I went to the hospital and got checked for glaucoma and also had a ct scan to check for brain tumor of which the results were negligible.
Weeks later i began to experience chest pains and shortness of breath which has continued to come and go. Also a more recent addition to my symptoms has been that my balance is messed up and even with extreme concentration, I cannot walk perfectly straight anymore. I also have exaustion/fatigue and limb tiredness, and my neck aches and sometimes my head feels haevy. I also have occasional uncontrollable bodily twitches..
The strangest part about all of my symptoms is that my dad (who i am living with) is having many very similar symptoms!! He has been ill for the past five years or so though, but the fact that we are starting to exhibit similar symptoms got me thinking to do some research into the possibility of a toxic environment.
He was recently admitted into a hospital where they tested for just about everything including ct scan, mri (with and without contrast), heart tests, and more but seemingly found nothing substantial. Ultimately they concluded that since he had a heart attack in the past and has really high blood pressure, it must be his heart and are in the process of adjusting his medications. i think there must be an underlying cause (such as mold toxicity, which they seemingly do not even CONSIDER), since i am now experiencing similar symptoms.
Doing research ive discovered that mold can cause just about ALL of this over time...and even lead to horrible things which i guess i may have, like ms/or cancer/hypertension, blah, etc. Do you think this could be an explanation? In the 23 years of living in this house the heater has never been serviced...It is a gas heater. nor any of the water pipes or anything checked, and there is water damage on a downstairs ceiling probably from a pipe upstairs bathroom which has been leaking for years. i believe last year around this time i was having worse symptoms as well (during the winter when the house is locked up and the heater is running continuously). My self-diagnosis is that we are being contaminated by our household but my dad doesn't want to hear it or believe it. (mostly due to the cost i guess, heh) I'm almost ready to become homeless in attempt to save my life (as i am currently unemployed, heh). I don't believe balance and vision problems have ever been a recorded form of hypochondria.
any ideas? What would you recommend i ask about and do? I am visiting a doctor on tuesday. thanks for reading
