Yes, 635nm-670nm red lasers will stimulate hair growth. I have used them and they work as long as you use them as directed, usually 15-20min/day. The Hairmax is good but a lot of $$$. I have designed my own unit for hair growth as well as pain relief and it has helped my hair thicken and look more alive.

They probably work to some extent but you have to make time to use them. I have a helmet type you sit under but I just don't have the time with my schedule.

You can create your own "laser light" by purchasing a simple 40 or 60 watt red light (in the style and intensity of those old Christmas lights from the 50s), stick it in a bendy lamp - and aim about 6 inches from the area of the scalp you are seeking to have your hair increase and/or thicken.

Total cost: less than five bucks for the red balb....and depending on the bendy desk lamp...if you already have one, free...if you have to buy one...anywhere from $9.99 and up...I guess.

Either way, it WORKS.
