High BP and eye floaters?

I started developing a little bit of blurry vision and eye floaters at the same time that by BP started going up to 140/90 two years ago. I have been to an Opthamologist and he says there is no link. The only problem with my eyes was that my optical nerve looked a bit thin and he said to keep an eye on that.
Has anyone here with high BP also noticed eye floaters?
I'd like to find out if there is a correlation. Thanks

This is a reply to # 1,527,239I've had floaters since my blood pressure went up and the eye doctors always tell me there is no connection but I think there is. My daughter, age 39, was told by her eye doctor that since she had floaters she should get her blood pressure tested and sure enough it was high.

This is a reply to # 1,528,272My floaters were related to a chronic HSV1 infection (oral herpes which had spread).
After treating the condition, my floaters greatly reduced. And, interestingly, so did my severe hypertension.
You might ask your doc to test your blood for this (called the HerpSelect test). If positive for HSV1, you may have your answer.
