Jet Lag

Jet lag is what I call a condition whereby the subtle body lags behind the physical body due to rapid long-distance transmeridian travel. The physical body may be on the ground (after the jet lands) but various subtle bodies are still in the sky and so you're disoriented, out of synchronization. All of the various bodies have not synchronized after the travel and the physical body is on the ground.
Man used to have the ability to travel via his/her light body, trans-dimensionally (actually he/she still does but the knowledge of this ability has been robbed from his/her mentality and reality via programming in the Matrix). He/she didn't need airplanes (jets). It's difficult to travel with the heavy dense body.
Man would always first demoleculurize his/her physical body before traveling. It sped up the travel so as to travel at the speed of light. The travel may have been rapid and over long and great distance, but there was no jet lag sensation as a result of this kind of travel.
Physical travel can leave much wear and tear on the body and usually does for most people. I told rapper Ghostface Killah this back in 2000 (or perhaps 2001) after delivering some herbs to him (when I actually used to deliver herbs before there was a Dherbs.com).
Rap group Wu Tang Clan was filming a video on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles and on the set Ghostface was in a back room lying down with a blanket over him. Ghost would always have me stick around so as to chop it up with him (spit knowledge) and on this particular day it was easy for me to look at Ghostface and tell my man straight up that all that long distance traveling was doing him in - impairing his health. My man needed to rest so as to synchronize his various bodies, but when you're in the entertainment game (and as big as Wu Tang was), it's pretty challenging to slow your roll. But Nature doesn't care who you are and what you do. If you violate her laws, you will pay. That's the law! And it's fixed!
Impairing of the body's internal clock (circadian clock) will throw the whole body off and sabotage the immune (defense) system making the person susceptible to disease and sickness. This is what happened to my man Dennis Coles (Ghostface) during that particular visit to Los Angeles back in early 2000 (or 2001).
The physical body is what slows our traveling down. Notice that when we astral travel or dream, we travel quickly or go where we desire quickly, in a matter of seconds. In our dreams (lower astral realm) we be all over the place. I've been from Los Angeles to San Francisco in a matter of seconds in a few dreams. In other dimensions, we think of a place and instantly we're there. But that's not the case on the 3D plane. We have to travel from one place to another over the course of hours. Travel is very slow on the 3D realm.
Jet lag is medically referred to as "desynchronosis" and defined as a physiological condition that is a consequence of alterations to circadian rhythms and thus dubbed as one of various circadian rhythm sleep disorders.
Jet lag results from rapid long-distance transmeridian (east-west or west-east) travel, as on a jet plane.
Jet lag may last for a number of days, usually one day per time zone crossed. When traveling across a number of time zones, the body clock will be out of synchronization with the destination time, as it experiences daytime or daylight and dark time or darkness contrary to the rhythms it has grown accustomed to. The body's natural pattern (rhythm) is thrown off or upset as the rhythms that dictate and govern times for eating, sleeping, body temperature, and hormone regulation variations no longer correspond to the environment nor to each other in some instances. So, to the degree that the body cannot immediately realign these rhythms, it is jet lagged.
The speed at which the body adjusts to the new time zone and corresponding schedule depends on the person. We must remember that everybody is different. Some people may require several days to adjust to a new time zone and schedule whereas others may experience little disruption if any. Generally, crossing one or two time zones does not jet lag. Jet lag is not linked to the length of a flight, but to the transmeridian (east-west) distance traveled. For example, a ten-hour flight from England to South Africa does not cause jet lag as travel is primarily north-south. However, a five-hour flight from Los Angeles to New York may result in jet lag as the travel is west-east.
In the U.S. there are 4 time zones: PST (Pacific Standard Time), MST (Mountain Standard Time), CST (Central Standard Time), and EST (Eastern Standard Time). For each time zone, generally about an hour in difference, it may take one day for total body synchronization, one day for every hour. But again, this is not so for every single person. It appears travel is more disruptive for the body when traveling from west (i.e. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Seattle) to East (New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C.).
Also, travel from west to east is longer than travel from east to west. This may be because when traveling east, a plane is traveling toward the direction the earth spins on its axis (right to left which is east to west) and when traveling from east to west, the plane is traveling in the direction opposite from the earth spinning on its axis which would speed up the travel, almost 30 minutes per time zone. This is why your travel itinerary always reflect return flights back west shorter than destination flights back east.
I enjoy short flights, flights less than 3 hours. I enjoy flying from Los Angeles (or Burbank) to San Francisco, Oakland, Phoenix, Dallas, and Seattle as these flights don't tax me. However, flying from Los Angeles to New York, Chicago, Washington, Baltimore, or cities in Virginia are very long and taxing to me (on my body), especially when I take a very early morning flight (a flight that departs at 6 or 7 a.m.
The trip from L.A. to Atlanta is not so bad! However, I do my best not to travel a lot. The whole airplane and air travel experience has changed dramatically, especially since 9/11. Airline service has also greatly changed as well. I thought paying more and flying first-class would make a difference but nope! Not at all! I don't travel first class anymore. It's not worth it to me. Airplanes today are not like airplanes back in the 1970s and early 1980s. Just look at certain movies and television shows that feature airplane travel scenes. These were airplanes! These were pretty much hotels in the sky. These planes had nice seats, plenty of legroom, showed you movies, and served you full meals. Oh, and you didn't have to pay for luggage (to board it on to the plane).
Nowadays, airplanes (737 jets) are nothing but buses in the sky. It's all about money nowadays. Airplanes are much smaller today and they have taken away nearly everything from past air travel. The seats are smaller and not as soft and comfortable. The lavatories are smaller as well. They took away legroom and now sell you additional leg- room (starting at $20). The simple fact that additional legroom is available tells you people need it or will need it, especially people with long legs. But it's a way for the struggling U.S. airline industry to make money.
Movies are not guaranteed and only a few airlines have overhead monitors or screens in the seats. The earphones cost $1-$3 on some airlines. They should be complimentary considering the price of the airline ticket. But that's just my opinion.
Real full meal meals are no longer served. Today, a meal consists of a goodie box (or snack box) of junk foods, i.e. crackers, cookies, pretzels, or salted nuts and a small beverage. If you like drinking alcohol, it'll cost you anywhere from $3-$5 for a very small serving.
On U.S. airlines today, you get less but pay more! We are even charged a $5.00 federal "9/11" security fee on all flights. Now ain't that a bitch considering the U.S. government was the perpetrator of the event that killed nearly 4,000 innocent U.S. citizens so as to launch its phony war on terror which ramifications resulted in a loss of more civil liberties and constitutionally secured rights for the average U.S. citizen and all under the pretense so our government could better protect us (from terrorists). This of course, is according to independent investigation (books, DVDs) that to me is pretty convincing.
In closing (and to get back to the gist of this particular article), the symptoms of jet lag can be numerous, from disorientation, fatigue, irritability, grogginess, insomnia, irregular sleep patterns, ear ache, swollen feet, and even mild depression.
Recovering From Jet Lag Naturally
The best way to recover from jet-leg is to perform a conscious ritual of bringing your subtle body into synchronization with your physical body. Visualize your light body a few hundred feet into the sky and slowly descending above you in your airplane seat. See your subtle or light body merge perfectly with your physical body, as if snapping into place. When both bodies come together, affirm: "I am synchronized and in harmony with this time zone and schedule."
It is best that when you travel, if you can, purchase a seat near the window of the plane. This way, you can remain in your seat while other passengers are unboarding (or exiting) the plane. This will allow you to be the last person off the plane but it'll allow you to perform this mental exercise (and ritual) without disruption.
In addition to the above, wear (or hold in your hands for the last 1 hour of your flight) Hematite, which is very grounding. Wearing Hematite jewelry from beginning to end of your flight will help to keep you grounded. You can also hold Hematite (usually a polished stone or element) in your hands while performing the ritual above.
Also, Yellow Jasper is an excellent stone that aids travel, making travel safe and secure.
Other crystals, gemstones, precious stones, and semi-precious stones that aid air travel include Moldavite, Boji Stones, and Tektite - meteorites! All 3 of these along with Hematite and Yellow Jasper really facilitate air travel.
